Congestion
Always see a Doctor if you have any concerns about your baby's health.
In newborns congestion is common & is usually nothing to worry about. Newborns under 8 weeks usually breathe through their noses and aren't very good at breathing through their mouth. Having a bunged up or runny nose can make breathing, feeding & sleeping more difficult.
Stuffy noses are caused by inflammation of the tiny membranes in the lining of the nose.

How Baby Massage Can Help
Massage can help in 2 ways. Firstly by stimulating the immune system, helping baby's natural defences to fight infection & by draining the lymph glands & sinuses.
Massaging the lymph glands & sinuses can help to prevent & relieve fluid sitting & blocking the sinusses & airways.
